The Geneva Conventions are quaint,
Said Gonzales. A scholar, he ain't.
But he's Dub's nominee
For the post of AG,
Where no doubt he will rule sans restraint.

Now that John Ashcroft's stepping down, having achieved the "objective of securing the safety of Americans from crime and terror," I guess it's time to retire the song parody I wrote for him -- Ashcroft's Favorite Things.
