Dear Diary -- Laura and I went down to Camp David Friday and spent a lotta time with Tony Blare and his wife. He seems like a nice enough guy even though he's chummy with Clinton. Plus he has excellent taste in toothpaste. But he and her sure do talk funny.

Things went mostly well except for one aukward minute -- I was kiddin around and told him I'd come by for a visit once he fixes his angry cow problem. Boy that guy has no sense of humor!

And speaking of angry, Laura's mad at me cause I accidently on purpose lost the grammer book she gave me. I told her the book gave me a headache. And that the People dont care about my grammer -- even that smart Mary Matalin said so on CNN. But Laura said Mary's paid to make up stuff like that.

Gotta go cause I have a meetin about Tuesdays joint Congress thingy. Must take some aspirin first --I'm pretty sure theyll be talkin about math.

Dear Diary -- I didnt get a chance to write in here yesterday cause they kept me busy studyin up for last nights speech. I thought my head was gonna explode.

Dick, Karl & Andy said talkin to the joint Congress session was real important -- a right of passage -- and I couldnt afford to screw it up. They were so serious bout it I thought a joke would be good. So I said I needed to prepare for the joint session by smoking a joint. But nobody laughed. Everyone just kinda looked at me funny and then Dick said dont forget to just stick to the speech -- no improvizens allowed. At least Congress preciates my humor.

Anyway I thought it went real good. It was kinda fun talkin bout my big retro tax cut and a buncha other stuff I dont remember. Also I got a kick out of sayin compasion things democrats had to stand up for even tho they didnt really wanna. Even Ted Kennedy stood up tho he barely made it out of his chair.

But I'm kinda mad cause a coupla democrats got to talk last night on TV after me. That doesnt seem fair. But everyone says I'm much more charming and the People like me better and I'll be awarded with a fishin trip real soon.

Dear Diary -- I been travelin a lot since the Big Speech -- talkin about this weeks Theme of the Week which is -- uh -- the budget. I picked a good time to be away cause everyone at the WH is upset about a buncha things. Like the Seattle earthquake which came at a real inconveniant time. They tell me it makes our Fema cuts look real bad. I guess Seattle has a lotta feminists.

Theyre also mad about some NY Times article by some guy I never heard of called Krugman. Andy says Dick and all the budget guys keep poppin asprin and antiacids and mutterin he's onto us -- he's onto us. I tol him thats what ya get for readin the Times.

But theyre real happy with Greenspan cause he came thru for us Big Time by refusing to lower -- or was it raise??? -- interest rates. Dick says everyone blamed the market drop on Greenspan instead of my budget speech. Cool!!!!
