I really enjoy sharing great sites with friends. But for some reason, I don't have many friends. Is it my lousy taste in sites? I don't think so, but you be the judge. Just visit these outstanding winners of my MadPick Site Award.

- Barry Cuda Singer, pianist, and wonderful entertainer Barry Cuda a/k/a The Pianimal performs in Key West, when he's not touring. He has several terrific recordings out, four of which I own. You can buy them at his site. So what are you waiting for?
- The John Kasper Band Political songs, written and performed by New Jersey songwriter John Kasper. I especially like his antiwar song Don't Think Twice, which features Anthony Krizan from the Spin Doctors on guitar.
- Bill Jacobs Here you can listen to Bill Jacobs' wonderful song parodies, including "If George Only Had A Brain" and "You Razzle Dazzled 'Em."
- Home Music Recording This site is packed with helpful home music recording tips, info, and equipment suggestions.
- Bright 'N' Perri An entertaining two-man satirical garage band that "flies in the face of corporate greedmongers, neo-con fascists, manicured lawns and rancid pop divas."
- PoliticalSongs.net This fine site showcases humorous and creative songs which speak to current political topics, using music to cut through political spin.
- Centre for Political Song The Centre for Political Song, which is based in Glasgow
Caledonian University in Scotland, was established "to promote and foster an awareness of all forms of political song. The Centre's
collection includes material across the globe, throughout the political spectrum and includes all genres of music." I'm honored to have my political song parodies included in its archives.
- Music Instruments, Guitar Lessons, & More A resource for creating and selling music from the comfort of your home.
- Dale McFarland My pal Dale McFarland is a Dallas based pianist who performs jazz, latin, blues and other music. You may also know him as the very witty publisher of The Specious Report.
- Domestic Violence and Music Therapy This unusual site examines the power of using popular music as a way for people to express their feelings. It includes examples of therapeutic messages in popular music, as well as original music by Freudian Slip, the therapeutic rock band.
- Steve The Whistler The official website of Steve "The Whistler" Herbst, a grand champion whistler who's "made whistling into an art form," according to Dino Anagnost, Musical Director of NYC's Little Orchestra Society. The site features sound clips from Herbst's CD.
- Clay Cotton If you enjoy New Orleans jazz piano and blues, you have to check out Clay Cotton's site and buy his recordings.
- The Modern Art Museum of Calquier An entertainingly satirical mock art museum.
- Song Parodies & Music Humor I'm a musician (oboist) turned lawyer turned humor writer and I sometimes write song parodies & other music related humor. At last, my undergrad degree in music is coming in handy!

- DB Karaoke Music and CDs Karaoke music and players for home and commercial

- Dave Lippman, Satirical Songs & Political Comedy This entertaining site of satirical songster Dave Lippman features George Shrub, "The World's Only Known Singing C.I.A. Agent." You'll find song clips, funny lyrics, Shrublogs, essays, and more.
- John McNeill Jazz John McNeill is an outstanding and innovative jazz trumpet player, as well as a writer, arranger, and record producer. I'm proud to call him my friend. His recordings are available here.
- The-Music-Directory.com A well organized collection of links to music related websites and newsgroups.
- Caricature Zone This fun site offers free pics of movie stars, rock celebrities, sport champions & famous politicians. And don't miss their You Are The Artist feature.
- Buddy and Hopkins: Music Cartoons Jason Nocera, the creator of Buddy and Hopkins, combines Nocera's two loves on this site – music and cartooning.
- Amiright.com: Making Fun of Music. One Song At A Time This fun site features misheard lyrics, song parodies, and more.
- Pollstar - The Concert Hotwire Wondering when your favorite performer's giving a concert in your neighborhood? Just pop the artist's name into Pollstar's search engine.
- Christine Lavin Christine Lavin is a terrific singer/song writer and a very funny lady. You can also read some of her wonderful writing in this great, new Random House humor anthology: Life's a Stitch : The Best of Contemporary Women's Humor. And I'm proud to say that one of my humor columns is in the book too.
- BroadwayMidi If you're looking for a Midi version of your favorite showtune, this is definitely the place.
- Andante.com An excellent classical music magazine with news, reviews, interviews and commentary covering the entire spectrum of classical music.
- Guggenheim Museum The great Guggenheim Museum is now online.
- Museum of Depressionist Art This "museum" specializes in the art of the Depressionist school, which most other museums reject as being too miserable, dejected and hopeless to warrant space on a wall. Be sure to visit. I'm betting it will cheer you up.
- Gallery of the Unidentifiable Famous for having not a single identifiable artist in it, the Gallery specializes in sculpture and other objets d'art.
- ArtsJournal.com Are you interested in the arts? Then you're sure to love this "Digest of Arts & Cultural Journalism." Every day the editors comb through more than 180 English-language newspapers, magazines and publications featuring writing about the arts and culture. Then they post links to the most interesting or important stories. The site also publishes the weekly Arts Beat column every Monday morning, an annotated summary of what was written about in the arts during the previous week.
- Mike Reed Illustration Mike Reed's illustrations are charming, wry, whimsical, and very entertaining. And they load astonishingly fast.
- Metropolitan Museum of Art Much of the Met's outstanding collection is now online. A "must see" for art lovers, this fast loading, well organized site will inspire lots of treks to New York City.
- WomanRock Interviews and articles about women musicians and artists, CD reviews, and more.
- Mark Harden's Artchive This comprehensive and well-organized art site features art, reviews, galleries, and criticism. It's a valuable resource for art lovers and people who'd like to learn more about the world's great artists.
- Jaeworld Moving poetry by Jae Malone plus art hand selected by Ms. Malone. She asks visitors to "slip for a moment into my world, into the place where my experience reaches out to yours and offers tea..." The site also includes a diverse link list and information about Jae Malone's freelance editing services.
