Dogged Journalism

At long last, we have an answer to these burning questions: What kind of dog will Obama get daughters Malia and Sasha, and when will he get it? From a plethora of breathless press reports we learn that it’s a male Portuguese water dog puppy named Bo with a Kennedy pedigree.

Next on the press agenda? World peace. But first, a limerick:

  1. I thought Oprah sent a better message by getting a pound puppy. Go Sadie! So much for ‘everydog’ in the white house…

Marsha, the Humane Society congratulated Obama on this because he adopted a “second-chance dog” that had been returned by the original purchaser:

Also, there were child allergy issues, which would limit their dog options to some degree.

What a lovely euphuism..”second-chance” dog. I also had a dog named Bo who was a second-chance dog. We found him at the local humane society. He was the most marvelous pet, friend, companion a dog lover could hope for! :) I only wish that dogs would live seven times longer than they do.

    Ok …. ONWARD…to World Peace !!!

Way late here, but I think it was Mike Vuckovich who had an editorial cartoon which showed Michele asking Sasha and Malia “You know whose job it is to clean up after Bo, don’t you? To which the girls answer, “Tim Geithner’s, of course!”
