Romney Unleashed (Limerick)
Romney Unleashed (Limerick)
By Madeleine Begun Kane
Mitt the “robot” is suddenly hot,
Unpredictably stirring the pot.
Once disturbingly guarded,
Now caution’s discarded.
I’m starting to miss the old “bot.”

MITT IS AN ASININE ROBOT
UNPREDICTABLE ARROGANT SNOT
HE IS DISHING OUT HORRIFIC GOP PLOT
HIS INSULTING MOUTH IS NOT GUARDED
HE WILL SOON JUST GET DISCARDED
I AM JUST ANGRY AT THE WHOLE LOT.
Thanks for your verse, Rhea.
That one made me laugh. But Rhea…
Look at Rhea’s new limerick form
I shan’t deviate from the norm
Choices they scare
I don’t think I should dare
I might regret it in the morn.
Thanks, Frankly!
I can’t imagine missing him, at all, in any of his unseemly forms. :) Like your verse…as always.
Hi Mad! Yes, his caution’s discarded all right–along with a few facts that he conveniently forgets to mention…are we better off? Um, yes–GM is putting out electric cars, stock market back, jobless rate better, a president who can put two sentences together without tripping over himself…Great limerick :-) Thanks for always making me smile
In small quiet rooms at the top
Mitt pandered to Fat Cats nonstop
the forty-seven were dissed
as one-percenters so wished
their own to preside as tax-cop
Chameleon candidate Mitt
has foibles more fleas than mere nit
he is awkward at best
can not make a clean breast
isn’t known for sparkling wit.
Thanks very much Sara and Tumblewords! And thanks for your limericks, Sallie!
