In a move sure to aggravate unagented (and poorly agented) authors, Jenna Bush has scored a high-powered literary agent — Robert Barnett. So, what’s the subject of Jenna’s masterpiece? Barnett has been shopping her “young-adult book based on the former grade school teacher’s experiences with charity causes in Latin America” to New York publishers. Oh, goody! (Via PoliticalWire)

Tim, I too recall reading some time ago that Jenna graduated with an education degree, but was working at a teacher’s aide level because of a qualificaitons shortfall. So either she subsequently became a full-fledged teacher, or USNews.com got it wrong.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. What about all of the book deals for the Clintons, the Carters – and all of that. With celebrity (in any sort) comes opportunity. Book publishers know that the “buzz” alone will sell enough books to make them money – regardless of what the book is about. Too bad you liberals never see your own hypocrisy.
