Congratulations to Senators Obama and Biden. An historic election has come to a wonderful conclusion:

Celebratory Limerick

Dear Obama, congrats on your win.
You have done it.  You’ve won it.  You’re in!
Now your job will be tough.
(Please don’t take any guff.)
Let the national healing begin!

    Our President warned us: “Make haste!
    We do no have much time to waste, *
    to start the bombs dropping
    We all must go shopping.”
    – to pay for the terrible waste.

    *Alternate line in Bush speak. You choose. We do not have no time to waste.

    “I am what I am, what I am.”
    demurs this remarkable man.
    Instead of a scheme,
    he proffers a dream.
    Together we’ll do it. We can.

    I appreciate your encouragement and am so happy to have found your website. We seem to be of similar minds. I do a lot of limericks and revamping of classical poetry.
