Limerick Ode To Smirking Romney
Mitt Romney’s weird facial expressions during yesterday’s press conference about the killings at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, inspired me to write this limerick:
Limerick Ode To Smirking Romney
By Madeleine Begun Kane
Can a person be judged by his smile?
I’d say yes, when it hints at his bile.
If like Mitt’s, it’s a smirk,
Then a creep may well lurk
Underneath, one whose essence is vile.

Yep. I thought the C&L article “Mitt Gets Worse” about Julie Goodridge was very helpful. I haven’t had a high opinion of Romney anyway, but this explains a lot (and not for the better). I don’t know how links are handled on this blog, but I’ll give it a try:
Mitt Gets Worse
How about a Romney limerick using the word “creepy”? Something like this:
I always find Mitt Romney creepy
Espec’ly if I’m a bit sleepy…
But I leave it to the master. Mistress?
Sorry. I’ve got one:
I always find Mitt Romney creepy
Espec’ly if I’m a bit sleepy
If we elect him
The future’s quite grim:
Environment managed by BP.
It’s like a drug. I’m not responsible! And you are an unrepentant pusher!
Here’s another:
I always find Mitt Romney creepy,
Espec’ly if I’m a bit sleepy.
He’s like a bad dream;
I wake with a scream,
And the rest of the day I feel weepy.
It’s a presidential reporter’s perk
to see Romney’s self satisfied smirk
Now comes the lynching
after Mitt’s bitching
a reporter hardly needs to work.
Can a person be judged by his smile?
When it’s really meant to beguile.
Judgment is OK we’d say
If a smirk does truly display
A haughty contempt that we all find so vile.
It’s always fun to get people hooked on writing limericks. Thanks everyone for your fun verse!
