Want Tom In Prison — No Delay!
In the wake of the Arizona shootings, there isn’t much news to celebrate in rhyme. But I finally came up with something: Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) was sentenced to three years in prison for “conspiring to launder corporate money into political donations during the 2002 elections.”
That brings me to my latest limerick:
Want Tom In Prison — No Delay!
By Madeleine Begun Kane
There’s a glimmer of good news today:
It’s prison for Thomas DeLay.
His sentence? Three years.
So let’s hear it: Three cheers!
Please no stay! Want DeLay put away.

Schadenfreude makes me sad
But guys like Tom make me mad
So as we bid him adieu
I’ll also say F You!
Hey, I don’t really feel that bad!
Nice one Mad. hip hip hooray!!
Just like his friend Jack Abramoff,
The pig stayed too long at the trough.
A failed coup d’etat,
he could not beat the law,
for 3 years he’ll be beating …
While the news gave me a hard-on,
about justice for laws trod-on,
it’s not a done deal.
Think: Governor’s seal.
Perry will give him a pardon.
And don’t let the prison door hit him in his big ASS. Good riddance for America, having one less Reslug criminal out there hurting America and screwing us all.
Just another sad bit of doggerel or caterwaul:
De lay of de land
in Texas is grand.
Hail the old Gerrymand!
And the districts still stand.
DeLay got caught out,
his fault was to flout
laundering rules just about
corporation cash clout.
Despite his conviction
no district’s a fiction.
No GOPs face eviction,
despite our conniption.
hip hip horaay !jail for delay , it makes my day !
Thanks everyone for your verse and kind words!
