Nice haiku, Charles!
Thank you, Madeleine. I have written hundreds of reasonably decent haiku.
My best rejection was from The Atlantic, whose editor told me that the magazine never published poetry (a flagrant, shameless lie) because poets were so nasty to one another (also a shameless lie, as proven by your very kind remark).
Ah, well, editors are all insane. I speak from experience.
Not only a shameless lie, but an astonishingly stupid one! :) Ah editors — I have my own horrific tales. And I agree, Charles, editors are all insane.
Charles, you have me beat in the haiku department. I’m far more prolific when it comes to limericks. But I just write the occasional haiku.
