Like The New York Times’ Gail Collins and so many others, I think Bush and Cheney need to take early retirement. Otherwise, by the time Obama is president, there won’t be anything left to preside over:

Has she ever read the Order of Presidential Succession? There are 16 cabinet members next in line, only two are ineligible, and President Elect or Junior Senator from Illinois is not on the list (oops, he is not even the Junior Senator any more)
Oops? Oops??? You want to talk about an “oops,” Don? What a laugh! Mad’s limerick is funny, of course… but also laughable, Don, are your two omissions from the presidential order of succession.
If you’re going to call someone on something, Don, it behooves you to get it right. Look it up, Don. Here’s a hint, though, about how it’s been since 1947: after the Vice President, the next two in order are the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate… both Democrats at present.
