Insomnia blankets my night.
Slumber teases — declines to alight.
I toss and I turn
In my bed, as I yearn
For release from my sleep-deprived plight.

Flutist misses cue.
Conductor settles the score.
Time to face music.

once intelligent with age,
now frozen wasteland.

It makes me fidget,
but I book myself to write
accidental verse.

Accidental glance,
de-liberating romance—
just the dance of chance.

Shocking incident:
things accidentally went
exactly as planned.

Booked reservation
at restaurant, but canceled—
had reservations.

I have pains in each joint,
As I wait for your point.
Oh my no! It’s insurance you’re hawking?
