Limerick Ode To Voicemail
Limerick Ode To Voicemail
By Madeleine Begun Kane
Dear voicemail, I love and adore you.
And I’m puzzled by those who deplore you.
Oh, the charm of your voices
And all of those choices.
Wait, I’m lying — I really abhor you.

I know what you mean, my voicemail always says the same thing: ‘Your voicemail account is set up, next time just press the one button…’
If you enjoyed this voice mail limerick, press one.

Oooo…I don’t like voice mail either! Detestable little blinks!
Mad, I love coming here….your limericks are wonderful and always put a smile on my face. This was no exception. :)
Mad, I agree, love to smile and always know I’ll find a grin here. As for voice mail, si quieres hablar en Espanol, emprese uno.
I’m with Scott, but would like to press 2 for Spanish…por favor

Thanks so much to all of you for your comments!
Nice! Voicemail can be quite a double bind. It’s good to know why people were calling in the first place but I have to force myself to leave a message.
Thanks, Amanda. I’ve felt that way too.
