Happy National Vodka Day — October 4th!
Wow! It’s almost midnight on October 4th. And that means I almost missed National Vodka Day. Must celebrate with a limerick:
Happy Vodka Day!
By Madeleine Begun Kane
Which liquor’s remembered today?
Not tequila or rum or Lillet.
I’m afraid you don’t win
If you guess that it’s gin,
Cuz it’s vodka. Start pouring, okay?

A naked young woman named May
To celebrate National Vodka Day
Imbibed a lot of it
Did not affect her a bit
As she did it every which way.
I just can’t believe that I missed
Vodka Day, but I am not pissed
‘Cuz today is a glad one
I was told by the Mad one
That I made her limerick list
Thanks for your verse, Vivek and Scott!
I have to say “What the…?” today.
It seems drinking vodka’s the way.
My grape juice is favored
With triple-sec-flavored,
But, for once, something different! Okay?
