Limerick Ode To “Be Humble Day”

A man who was told to be humble
Objected and started to grumble:
“My modesty’s famed,”
He loudly proclaimed.
‘Twas a fumble that’s worthy of Trumbull.*

*John Trumbull was an American political satirist, poet, and lawyer.

    Rhymes nicely, flows nicely but I have no idea what the point is. I guess it is a local thing.
