World Snake Day Limerick (July 16)
Happy World Snake Day! (July 16)
A man was beginning to grasp
The danger of bites from an asp.
A thought bubble snaked
Through his brainwaves half-baked:
“Pet asp? I’m an ass!” — his last gasp!

A Sign Above the Door of an Old Dublin Inn ~
There are Lim’ricks in Ireland no more,
‘cause St. Pat swept them all out the door.
“They’re a Leprechaun’s curse
And could be nothing worse!”
Please watch out for the snakes on the floor.
A Corny Story ~
A butcher once butchered a snake,
Which a baker decided to bake.
They put it on sticks
At the Fair, just for kicks.
The first corndogs were just a mistake.
Feeling Drained ~
I searched for a snake in my shed,
Then all dirty, I climbed into bed.
In the morning I found it
Then down my drain wound it.
Today, I can shower instead.
