Post-Paris Depression? (Limerick)
Since Paris, it’s hard to be funny.
I’m too bummed to write wit on the money.
But I’d never suggest
That jesting is best
Drawn from joy, cuz I’m rarely THAT sunny.

That’s just how the bad guys all want it
To sadden our spirit, to haunt it
And rob us of joy
To destroy is their ploy
Our unbreakable spirit – let’s flaunt it!
So let’s make it fact, not just rumor
That we’re taking out this ugly tumor
The world is just TOO sad
We’re counting on YOU, Mad
To bring back your much-needed humor.
Thanks, Suzanne! :)
You’re welcome.
And thank you, too… keep writing!
