Not Mad About The Weather (Limerick)

Not Mad About The Weather (Limerick)
By Madeleine Begun Kane

Each summer I bitch about heat.
Humidity too makes me bleat.
But the current one’s better
Than most — wore a sweater
One night, which beats sweat indiscreet.

(DVerse Poets wants weather about the dog days of summer.)

Oh this is funny. Humidity makes me bleat as well. But I’m probably one of the few I know looking forward to the first frost.

  2. Some of us can not tolerate the onerous heat–
    Those sweltering dog days force us to bleat;
There’s only one sure way to feel better,
Crank on the A/C & wear a sweater.
Loving the lusty chill is far from indiscreet.

ha – it’s fun that a sweater is worn when there’s no sweat at all…. not much need for sweaters over here this summer…it’s been scorching hot

I would rather not wear anything, not even a sweater when its too hot ~

  6. Ooh.. wet sweaty summer feet..
Sandy goo between toes no treat..
Butt wait a feat of dance will start
To beat.. when toes of fairies do
Fly it varies in feathered bird beak..:)
