Limerick Ode To Pi Day (March 14th)

Happy Pi Day! (The last time I wrote a limerick for Pi Day, I was one day late. But this time I decided to be as precise as Pi.)

Limerick Ode To Pi Day (March 14th)
By Madeleine Begun Kane

The math’matical constant called “Pi”
Is Greek to your average guy.
“Transcendental,” some call it,
But most people maul it;
Comprehension is pie in the sky.

    A pie in the sky.. Then irrational is rational.

    haha…i prefer pie to pi…so…smiles… nevertheless…math fascinates me and i’m in awe when someone dances those figures with grace..

  3. Madhumakhi says:

    I prefer pi to pie though. Those who can comprehend it are the ones who’ll carry our world forward. But you’ve echoed how i feel about maths. Most of the abstract ideas are Greek and Latin to me.

    Dear Madeleine,
    Thanks! I needed that. Things are pretty grim here. The haze. A missing plane. And six kids just died in a concert.

    However, I believe we will come out of this stronger.
