Limerick Ode To National Grouch Day

Happy National Grouch Day! (October 15)

Limerick Ode To National Grouch Day
By Madeleine Begun Kane

A cranky and grumbly old grouch
Would complain day and night from the couch
About money, TV
And his back, neck and knee.
That fellow’s divorced, I would vouch.

I’ve been called a bit curmudgeonly
    And I must admit begrudgingly
    Most people on Earth
    Get on my last nerve
And I really don’t like them touching me

  2. Vonnie says:

Very funny. But he’s probably not divorced, just has a wife who thinks about it frequently.

  3. Sara v says:

I’d vouch the same, unless he found a grouchess to share his misery. I think Oscar on Sesame Street finally found a girl :-) Fun limerick!

  4. OwenKL says:

Some people call me an old coot
My response? Well, I don’t give a hoot.
But I will give them notice,
    In the contraption by Otis,
When the doors close my a$$ will go “POOT!”
