Nobby Limerick
I learned a new word today: Nobby, which means elegant and stylish. Please don’t dress me down for using it in a limerick:
Nobby Limerick
By Madeleine Begun Kane
A chic woman arrived in the lobby
Of a shop that was known to be snobby.
But its nobby couture
Held for her no allure:
Sky-high hems don’t suit knees that are knobby.
UPDATE: October 22 is National Knee Day.

Love it! My knees are knobby, and I can relate to not sharing those with the world. :)
Hey, maybe that’s where Nob Hill comes from? All the stylish peeps live there.

Nice. Cute and thanks for the education too, I had not heard of that word.
I like your “nobby couture”…snobs, not so much. Thanks for the new word!
Always love to learn new words! Thanks for sharing!
Ah a Sunday smile – a Mad limerick – lovely start to the day :)
So very true! LOL.
Wonderfully funny, and nobby is a great word. I think the last line is a little of the limerick rhythm. But I know it’s extremely difficult to do.
Amen to that! Love my Sunday smile at your place!
Thanks so much for your delightful comments and kind words, everyone!

Fem fatal attitudes – She must be loved by some body – even nobby-no-bodies need love.
Don’t I know the truth you tell. Fun, here, as always.
Thanks! So glad you all enjoyed it!
