New Year’s Resolutions Haiku

Foretell the future?
Easy! Just predict that you’ll
break resolutions.

*****

Why bother making
fresh New Year’s resolutions?
Re-attempt last year’s.

The first haiku was prompted by Theme Thursday’s future prompt.

Truly said Madeleine! It’s too easy to form and break resolutions. But it’s better than not having any. Maybe it’s a % game. Not meeting 100% but some! Happy New Year to you Ma’am!

I agree that I would break any resolutions if I made them so I guess that would be one way to foretell the future. I have discovered it is just easier to not make them and that way I can never be disappointed with myself.

Thank you so much for playing in this weeks Theme Thursday and sharing these Haiku’s with us. Very nice.

Hope you have a wonderful New Year.

    God bless.

New Years resolutions are often just an exercise in futility; why bother?

As the New Year approaches, gals swear
That they MUST buy some new clothes to wear.
    But each husband clings
    To his old worn-out things:
“You can NOT throw them out. Don’t you dare!”
