An Adorable Tyrant
I found myself a new serendipitous oxymoron at the prompt generator I played with yesterday. So the subject of today’s limerick is an Adorable Tyrant:
An Adorable Tyrant (Limerick)
By Madeleine Begun Kane
An “adorable tyrant?” Sounds wild!
A strange combo of mean and the mild.
I might even buy tix
To see such a mix,
Unless it’s a three-year-old child.

You’ve got it so right in that last line :-)
yikes! could you imagine a 3 yr old in charge…
Indeed! We know when to avoid those otherwise adorable tykes!
Your last line is most apposite. What is or are tix?
Great last line.
Viv, I think it’s ‘tickets’.
haha ! see it not so impossible ;)
thank you for all the smiles Kane !
I’m guessing ‘tix’ are tickets?! LOL
Wasn’t there an ancient comic strip called the Little King? That might qualify as an adorable tyrant. Three year olds are just frightening
Great fun, Madeleine.

I have my own adorable tyrant wonderful limerick! Though I call her my little monster
I like this…and thank you for telling us about the Oxymoron generator! I shall have to consult it for ideas for some of my future poems.

Having had four little three year old tyrants (not all at one time, thank goodness!) I had to really laugh at that last line.
