A Source Of Annoyance (Limerick Movie Review)

The year is young. But hubby Mark and I already have a candidate for the year’s worst movie-going experience: Source Code. I found it so annoying and boring, that I walked out after a half-hour or so. Mark didn’t like it much either, but opted to stay, hoping for a boffo ending.

So I spent the next ninety minutes wandering around a shopping center, killing time while Mark watched the movie … or so I thought. As I later learned, the film broke twenty or thirty minutes before the movie’s ending, and they never got it going again. So much for that boffo pay-off!

A Source Of Annoyance
By Madeleine Begun Kane

The last movie we saw, was a snooze.
I left early in lieu of loud boos.
Its title was Source Code
It struck our remorse code —
Left us singing the cash-wasted blues.

I haven’t had chance to see that one yet and going by what you say, I wont be in any hurry to see it either.

The last real turkey I saw,
Was definately somewhat of a bore,
    I dont remember the title,
    I suppose thats quite vital,
I am sure you’ve probably seen it before.

Thanks Brian, rhyming Source Code’s a bitch, so I was thrilled to think of remorse code. :)

    Fun verse, Tino.

  4. Thanks for warning me off that one. Tis why Netflicks is such a kool thing. Great post as well!

In the city I live in, we have a $3.00 movie house. Only costs three bucks to see anything in any one of the six theaters. Best way to see some ‘marginal stuff’ on the big screen before they hit the video stores.

    Thanks for the warning!

Another fun and perfectly written limerick. And a movie critique to boot!
