Discontented
Discontented (2-Verse Limerick)
By Madeleine Begun Kane
Some say, “Content cries out to be free.”
Oddly, that’s what some users decree.
Whether poetry, art,
Software, songs from the heart,
They deny there’s a rightful payee.
They think copyright laws are oppressive.
They deem fees, even tiny, excessive.
But if they don’t get paid,
Their attorney brigade
Will surely become quite aggressive.
(Sunday Scribblings prompts us with the word free.)

An interesting take on the word “free”. I support copyrights, especially when I put so much effort into my work!
Happy Monday :)
Thanks for your comment, Mehreen. I agree with you completely.
true and love your wisdom here.
Here, Here! Another wonderful poem.
Thanks very much Jingle and Meryl!
Is that what they call “freeware” or “stolen goods”? I fight the battle with plagiarism every year in my classes. It’s just so hard for them to understand the word!
Lilibeth, what you’re referring to is certainly part of it. But the problem goes well beyond what you’re talking about.
