If Only Life Were That Simple (Limerick)

The task at hand over at Three Word Wednesday is to write a poem using these three words: Figure, Juicy, and Stress. I enjoyed the mental exercise and wrote this limerick:

If Only Life Were That Simple
By Madeleine Begun Kane

When I’m feeling a bit under stress
And I figure my life’s in a mess,
If I read something juicy
Or play some Debussy,
My problems are quick to egress.

How did you do it? Difficult to combine prompts, yet succinct and truly meaningful. Nicely done!

    Here’s mine for the week:

    Beautiful Man

  2. That’s definitely the way to chill. Nicely done.

  3. I figure a limerick which includes stress
Is a difficulty, I must confess.
    With something juicy?
    I Love Lucy.
Even my mind is under duress.

Any mention of Debussy is a hit with me, but to use him as a main rhyme in a limerick must be a WOW ! Very good.
