Wintry Haiku Trio
Nervous newcomer
slips and falls onto deep snow.
Makes bad impression.
*****
Valiant croci
strain to push through snow’s surface.
All retreat but one.
*****
My tossed-aside snow
returns to the cleared sidewalk.
An icy revenge.
(The first haiku is for the Haiku Heights impression prompt and the second one is for I Saw Sunday.)

“Makes bad impression.” Oh, a double entendre (or something similar thereto) for sure!
Haiku My Heart, O Sentinel
MMT, thanks for getting my double entendre. :)
I like these; especially the first one. Clever.
I liked these very much, especially the second one. The crocus in our garden are bloomimg and I can just imagine what snowfall would do to them!
Thanks very much for leaving your link at I Saw Sunday. I hope to see you there again next week. :-)
very good winter trio – the first one particularly clever.
Loved these, the first made me LOL :o)
Thanks so much everyone for your kind words about my winter haiku!
