Bad Memory Limerick
My memory is so bad, that when I spotted the upcoming memory prompt at Haiku Heights I forgot the obvious — that the prompt was for haiku. Ah well, here’s my Bad Memory Limerick:
Bad Memory Limerick
By Madeleine Begun Kane
My mem’ry is bad — getting worse.
It’s a failing I constantly curse.
I forget what I’ve done,
People’s names, whom to shun.
Now what was the theme of this verse?
(For those who can actually remember something, here’s a spot to post your memories in verse.)

At 50-something the sentiments expressed here are all too familliar to me! I’m pretty sure I’d forget my name if there wasn’t a sign on my desk. :-)
LOL! JTS and Rob. :)
Hilarious! Reminds me of an ode to essay-padding that I wrote in college:
However, be that as it may,
Ipso facto, whereas, I daresay,
Notwithstanding, withal,
That is, I can’t recall
What the hell I was trying to say!
LOL! Thanks, Steve! Yours was very funny!
Read a limerick, an ode to memories bad
Humor musings satire that drive her mad
The prompt for Haiku she forgot
Makes fun limerick’s on the spot
I declare there is no case here to feel sad
Thank you Madeline for the share!!
this is brilliant. losing memory must be a very painful thing for a person.
