Rivals
Rivals
By Madeleine Begun Kane
An arrogant fellow named Kirk
Thought each of his rivals a jerk.
When he vied for promotion,
He caused a commotion.
Now arrogant Kirk’s out of work.
(This limerick was inspired by Writers Island’s “rivals” prompt. And speaking of prompts, there’s plenty of time left to give my latest relatives-related poetry prompt a try.)

Oh there are so many kirk’s at my workplace..unfortunately none of them are out of work
By some strange quirk
For me too Humour did work!
And though for the prompt “Rival”
My submission is a late arrival
It might just make you smile or smirk !! :P
That was a nice one Mad Kane ! :)
Very cute. I think I used to work with this guy. ;-)
Here’s my entry for RIVALS.

Laughing – but I think Kirk gone missing is wishful thinking!

Hey there! Just discovered your site via Blog Carnival. Fun place! And, as my grandmummy would have said, just lousy with limericks. Wanna exchange links? If so, please leave a comment on any post on Small & Big at http://smallandbig@blogspot.com Thanks!
