Toying With Kites
Toying With Kites (Limerick)
By Madeleine Begun Kane
The sight of a kite in the sky
Is delightful and lovely, so why
Is it quite impolite
To say, “Go fly a kite!”
This idiom just doesn’t fly.
Don’t forget to celebrate Go Fly A Kite Day every June 15th. (It’s believed to be the anniversary of Ben Franklin’s 1752 kite experiment.)

Oh, I like this! And you ask a good question.
Thanks! And thanks for including me!
This is fun
Thanks, Crafty!
Reminds me of when my husband jokingly says “Take a hike” when I’m getting ready for a hike. Take a hike? I’d love to! Maybe its not for everyone though…
;-)
P.S. Congrats on the Bob Newhart recognition!
